The first few days of my trip have been quite hectic, but the remainder of my trip should be much more low-key. For my first full day of post-concert depression, I trekked down to Incheon (동암역) to Cafe Valor, one of the photoshoot locations for Golden Child's Re-boot album. Cafe Valor is also a furniture shop and studio, and cafe customers can roam around all areas. Many photoshoots and drama filming have also taken place here, but my main focus is to find all the spots Golden Child used for their photoshoot!
Cafe Valor is split into two buildings. At the first building, there is a sign in both Korean and English stating to go to the second building and make a cafe purchase, then bring the receipt to the first building in order to enter.
The cafe portion is at the beginning of the second building, along with idol merchandise and a binder of autographs. I ordered a strawberry latte, complete with strawberries in a syrup at the bottom, milk, and strawberry ice cream on top. There is a dining area on the first floor, as well as upstairs and down in the basement. I roamed around this second building and its adjoining furniture shop and didn't recognize anything from Re-boot.
I headed over to the first building and had my receipt ready, however no one was monitoring. This building is much more open like a warehouse, with the first half lined with rows of furniture. One row had a lot of idol related props. A table at the beginning also had extra cup sleeves from a Wannaone idol event. Here is the main walkway to the center of the warehouse. You can already spot the lockers Donghyun had as well as the mirror wall from the cover photo!
This is the main space of the warehouse, along with the mirror walls and Bomin's chair! To the left and right of the wall mirrors are smaller open rooms with their own design and props.
I can't believe here I am sitting in the same chair Bomin sat in!
And here is the bed Tag sat on.
And the couch Jaehyun lied on!
The painting was no longer behind the piano like in Joochan's photo, but here's the piano regardless. The painting is a few feet over.
This one isn't as obvious but it's the same spot Seungmin took his photo.
And here's Jibeom's spot!
The wall of lockers Donghyun posed in front of~
It was difficult to find as so many sections had the same aesthetic, but I finally found Y's spot!
And here is the chair Daeyeol sat in, along with the fake plant! Many of these props can be easily moved, so a lot of them weren't how it was set up during Golden Child's shoot, including Daeyeol's spot. But luckily the fake plant and chair were still together^^
And this one is a bit off, but here's the boat sculpture that Jangjun stood in front of.
A fog machine also went off every once in awhile to create a more aesthetic feel. Overall coming to Cafe Valor was such a fun adventure for my Goldenness heart. It was really fun to try and find each spot the members were at, to take their same footsteps, sit on the same furniture. I came here the day after "Future And Past" so it definitely helped with the post-concert depression!
I had also wanted to go to East Incheon to find the shooting sites for Sunggyu's "Kontrol" music video and Golden Child's Gol-Cha! photoshoot, but ran out of time and energy. Instead I took the hour subway trip back to Seoul and met my old university friend for a tasty 곱창 dinner and cafe outing^^
